Francois Disçhinger is a German photographer born in South Africa who currently lives in New York. He acquired his first camera as a schoolboy in the late seventies and has been documenting architecture ever since. Working with large format film cameras Dischinger employs a traditional approach to photography while searching for the unusual detail, angle, or framing in order to arrive at something more profound and personal. The images for this show were mostly taken for magazines including The New York Times Magazine and Architectural Digest.
The show will be on view in our downstairs Project Room from September 21 to October 22.
